After high school, he served in the Air Force for 4 years. He married the love of his life, Jeanne (Oswald), in 1957. He is survived by siblings Thomas and Elizabeth (Widman); sons Terry (Cindi), Edward (Elizabeth), Scott (Terri) and daughters Julie (Gary) Pilcher, Karen, and Linda, 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Connie and Cathy. After moving to Colorado in 1968, Bill enjoyed time spent outdoors with his family, camping, skiing, fishing, and hunting. He was very involved in his parish, Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, since its inception. He also was a ham radio operator, model railroad hobbyist, Boy Scout leader, and automobile gearhead. One of his great joys was being sponsor and pit-chief for his son's quarter midget and outlaw sprint cars. Bill's early career was as a systems analyst, back when data was stored on punch cards. After many years in that field, he switched gears, running a home improvement company for several years. He eventually returned to computer programming, again running his own company. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. A vigil for Bill will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at 7 P.M. at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, 7400 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, January 9, 2012, at 11 A.M., also at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church.
