William (Bill) F. Angermann Iii

March 24, 1930 — February 22, 2017

William (Bill) F. Angermann, III, retired Denver Police Officer, born March 24, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA. to Elfriede Therese Scherrer and William F. Angermann, II, peacefully left this world for the eternal glory of our Lord Jesus Christ on the morning of February 22, 2017 at his home of 57 years in Arvada, CO. Bill was a beloved husband of 66 years to Gunija, proud father of boys Bill, IV and Erik, and proud grandfather to Bill, V. Bill enjoyed all kinds of table and card games including backgammon, Scrabble, and especially pinochle. In his younger days he enjoyed the pastimes of the traditional sportsman in hunting and fishing. He later developed a love of travel, having claimed a distinction of visiting all 31 states in Mexico. While you might have never heard him say otherwise, Bill wasn't perfect. Bill had a willful and sometimes disagreeable personality. He was, however, always the life of the party; a big man with a big personality, he was "Big Man on Campus." On any given day spent with Bill you would likely hear him childishly plea for the Lords help, salt all kinds of food to the fullest indulgence, and then wash it down with his favorite rum and coke. If you weren't too offended and stuck around long enough, you'd learn that Bill was one of the most generous and sensitive people you might ever meet. He might tell you that he was perfect but he knew that he was fruitful only by the grace of our Lord; he was truly a sinner and a saint.
