March 25, 1918 - July 2, 2012 94, passed away peacefully in Denver, CO on July 2, 2012. He is survived by nine children: Mary Swanson, Therese Thompson (Mel), Mike Martin (Jeanne), Pete Martin (Rose), Don Martin (Annette), Elizabeth Martin, Nick Martin (Jill), Bernadette Wheeler (Bill), Laurie Heinz (Harry) as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born in Bozeman, Montana; and raised in Denver, CO, he attended school at Mount St. Vincent and Mullen Home for Boys and was part of the first graduating class of Mullen in 1936. Marty attended Regis College for two years until the outbreak of World War II. He joined the Army Air Corps where he served as a bomber pilot in the South Pacific Theater. Marty retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service. Services for Marty will be as follows: Friday, July 6, 2012 9:00 A.M. viewing, 10:00 A.M. Rosary and 10:30 A.M. Mass to be held at St. Mary Magdalene, 2771 Zenobia St., Denver, CO. Interment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 9:30 A.M.; please meet at staging area "B".
