Born: March 26, 1928 Died: February 3, 2016 Wayne Leon Post was born in Palisade, Nebraska on March 26, 1928, to Sam and Ruby Post.  He graduated from high school in 1946 and joined the U.S. Army Air Corp.  After 3 years of serving his country, he left the service to attend college. He married the love of his life, Ruth Lenhart, on August 16, 1953.  They moved to Windsor, Colorado, where Wayne graduated from Colorado AM (CSU) in 1954. He worked for the Federal Government as a civil engineer retiring in 1982.  Wayne also volunteered as a firefighter with Southwest Adams County Fire Department.  He retired from the fire department after 20 years of service. Wayne loved flying, reading a good book, his summers in Nathrop; and, most importantly, his family. Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth, three children: Phillip (Astrida), Pamela (Tom), and Patrick (Darcy), four grandchildren, Lindsey, Morgan, Norah, and Abigayle.  As well as a host of friends he made during his 87 years of life.  Wayne will be remembered by his loyalty, strength, and humor and will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
