January 13, 1936 - June 22, 2013 Verlene Joan (Kolln) Buckner passed on June 22 at Saint Anthony North Hospital. Verlene was born in rural Hartley, Iowa to Norma (Moeller) Kolln and Herman Kolln. She is survived by her brother and sisters; Gary Kolln, Ceone (Larry) Anderson and Leota Mark. Nieces and Nephews include Julie (Sean), Tammy (Randy), Tracy, Deanne (Ron), and Dan (Patti). Verlene was preceded in death by her mother Norma and father Herman, along with her sister in law, Diana Kolln and her brother in law, John Mark. Verlene moved to Colorado from Iowa in the early 1970's and owned a commercial and residential cleaning company until she began working for Wal-Mart in Westminster, Colorado in 1998. She enjoyed working in the garden center at Wal-Mart and was beloved by customers and co-workers. Verlene was dedicated to her family, her friends and her beloved dog, Wiener. Her courage as she struggled with severe arthritis is an inspiration to us all. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on July 2, 2013 at Crossroads Chapel, 9901 W. 50th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
