Tyler James Correll

Born: February 3, 2000 – Englewood, Colorado Died: June 24, 2015 – Arvada, Colorado Tyler was a sophomore at Arvada West High School and a member of the Arvada West Marching band and Winter Guard.  He especially found his niche as a percussionist and loved performing with the Winter Guard at athletic events and in competition.  His band family gave him friendship, confidence and loving support. His favorite color was yellow because it reminded him of sunshine. He loved spending time with family and friends playing board games, card games and video games, especially playing Batman and watching Minecraft.  His special dog family included Bo, Willow and Harley who loved the time they spent together.  His gentle and caring nature was appreciated by all who knew him. His family has requested that memorials be made to the Arvada West Band for the purchase of instruments, scholarships, etc. in lieu of flowers. Tyler is survived by his mother, Diana M. Correll; father, James G. Correll;  stepmother, Carla L. Correll;  sister, Breanna Correll; stepsisters, Alexa Ellis and Kelsey Beaman; paternal grandparents, Dr. Thomas and Sue Brigham; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved and cherished the time we shared with him. Celebration of Life 10:00 am, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church 5675 Field Street Arvada, CO  80004.   Reception to follow hosted by the Arvada West Band with Tyler’s favorite foods!! You are invited to attend a candlelight vigil to be held at Arvada West High School, Wednesday, July 15th at 8:00 pm in Tyler’s memory!
