July 27, 1971 - August 31, 2014 Tomas Fruendt Quintanilla, 43, died August 31, 2014 in his hometown Denver, Colorado. Tomas was born on July 27, 1971 to Karin and Tomas Quintanilla. He attended Ranum High School from 1985-1989, later receiving his GED. A proud Chamorro and German, Tomas was a man of many talents and hobbies. He was a master woodcraftsman, gearhead, judo player, biker, fisherman, gamer, card player, and comedian. He made woodwork an art form all his own proudly adding his signature to many of his hardwood installs. The days before he passed, he was with friends fishing the banks of Montana, riding his new bike throughout the streets of Denver, and strolling through the botanic gardens with his mother. Although his death remains a mystery to us, his life was an open book filled with love, compassion, and joy. He is survived by his parents Karin and Tomas; son Donovan; grandson Jayden; brothers Bobac, Manning, and Carlos; sister-in-law Gina; nieces and nephews Giovanni, Matthew, River, Mason, Sabrina, Cherrie, and Katalina; and many many dear friends and family. Services for Tomas will be held Friday, September 12, 2014, at Assumption Catholic Church located at 2361 E. 78th Avenue Denver, CO 80229. A viewing and rosary will be held at 10:30 am followed by mass at 11:30. Following that, a reception will be held at 1:30 pm at the Perl-Mack Community in the Mariposa Room on 7125 Mariposa Street, Denver, CO 80221.
