Tim Ivan Miller Jr.

December 29, 1937 — January 28, 2023

Tim Ivan Miller, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather of 3, and great-grandfather of 1, passed away on January 28th , 2023. He was 85 years old.


Born on December 29th, 1937, Tim grew up in Greeley, Denver, and Commerce City where he played baseball as a kid, he also learned how to be an avid fisherman and hunter all at a young age and enjoyed well into his adulthood. He was also an active member of the Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout) and DeMolay, where he honed  his leadership skills and commitment to community service.


After graduating from Adams City High School, Tim went on to earn a degree in accounting through the University of Denver, which he put to use throughout his business career. He was a dedicated accountant who worked hard and did provide for his family.


Outside of work, Tim was an avid hockey fan and in his 30’s he enjoyed playing hockey games with friends. He was also a member of the Masons. He was a 32-degree Master Mason, past Master of Arvada Lodge #1 (n/k/a Paul Revere Lodge #130). As part of Denver Consistory, he was a member of the Scottish Rite and The Chapter of Rose Croix. He was also a Knights Templar with Denver Commandry #1, and Georgetown Commandry #4 where he found a sense of brotherhood and camaraderie that he honored and cherished. He was also involved with Shriner’s International.


Tim is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, his son Kevin (wife Lendaria), his daughter Kristi (husband Steven Holmes), and his grandchildren, Matthew Holmes (wife Jessie), Nishann (husband Daniel LaNata) and D’Nae Miller, and a great granddaughter, Riley which he did not get to meet. Tim was preceded in death by his younger brother, Robert “Bob” DeForrest Miller  (wife Margaret “Peggy”). He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and commitment to making the world a better place.


A small graveside service will be held on April 18th, 2023, 11:00 am at the Arvada Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Arvada Hockey Association (AHA) in his name. He was the original AHA Treasurer since the beginning 1969.
