August 3, 1968 - August 21, 2012 Thomas C. Miller Former Elm Creek resident, 44 BOULDER, COLORADO Thomas Chad Miller, 44, of Boulder, Colorado died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Boulder Community Hospital after complications from two brain surgeries. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Elm Creek Cemetery with Fr. Jose Chavez officiating. There will be no visitation. Survivors include his mother, Lois Beavers of Elm Creek; sisters: Kathie Martindale and her husband, Jay, of Brewster; Anne Moats and her husband, Jim, of Elm Creek; Amy Hernandez and her husband, Dan, of Cozad; and Sheila (Dawn) Miller of Golden, Colorado; brother, Joel Beavers of Kearney; 10 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was born Aug. 3, 1968, in Kearney. He attended Elm Creek Public School and graduated in 1986. After graduation, Tom moved to Lincoln. Tom owned a landscaping business in St. Louis, MO. He also worked in the home improvement industry in Georgia and Florida. In 2008, he moved to Colorado and worked for Aspen Marketing in Boulder. Tom enjoyed reading, helping friends and family, and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his dad, Gary Beavers; a brother, Jamie Miller; an uncle, Don Hergenrader; as well as his grandparents. Memorials are suggested to the family.
