Theresa Gail Titus-Murphey

Theresa Titus-Murphey, 70, passed away at home in Arvada surrounded by family on June 5, 2019 after a long 6 year battle against lung and brain cancer. She was so strong and blew away the “good outcome” of 5 years they gave her. Theresa is preceded in death by her mom Norma “Jean”. She is missed by her husband Alvin “Murph”; her daughters Kelli (Steven) Peters, Kerri (Sam) Riley, of Arizona; her dad Joseph of Arvada; her four grandchildren Michael, Katie, Mandi and Jeffrey; her sister Diana McHatton of Idaho, brother Al Titus of Arvada; great grandchildren Brody and Briella. At Theresa’s request we will not have a funeral or memorial service. However, we will be hosting a Celebration of Life for all of her family and close friends to share fond memories and stories of her. The Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 beginning at 5pm in the clubhouse of Murph and Theresa’s townhouse complex called Woodcrest. The clubhouse address is 6445 Welch Ct; Arvada, CO 8004. Theresa loved shopping. She called it her therapy. There is a saying that it’s not the gift you get but the thought that went into it. Theresa cared deeply for her family and friends and always spent the extra time to find the perfect gift picked out with the individual in mind. When you received a gift from her you knew it was picked with care and love. Theresa loved spending time with her family and friends more than anything. She especially loved being a grandma and great-grandma. Nan to her grandkids. She was such a loving caring person and one of the strongest people in the world. Theresa will be missed tremendously. The void she leaves behind in so many lives can never be filled. Rest In Peace.
