On Saturday, January 21st, 2023, Suzanne Patricia Jacobi Walshe, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away at the age of seventy-six. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Maurice & Helen Jacobi in 1946. Suzanne was the fourth of five children and the youngest daughter of the Jacobi family. She grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from the Holy Angels Academy. Suzanne went on to complete nursing school and became a surgical nurse.
In 1966, Suzanne married John Walshe Jr. and moved to Omaha, Nebraska where her husband served in the Air Force. Suzanne was a stay-at-home mom as their family grew with the arrival of Rene’, Chris and Carol Ann. Following John’s military service, the family moved to Seattle to start an office equipment business. Suzanne worked wonders with budgets and thrived as an accounting manager through the remainder of her professional career. In her retirement, Suzanne fell in love with Bill Trenko with whom she spent many years enjoying life and traveling the globe. Suzanne was a devoted caregiver during the last few years of Bill’s life.
Desiring to embrace family, Suzanne moved to Colorado to be near her children Chris, Rene’ and her grandchildren.
Suzanne is proceeded in death by her parents Maurice & Helen Jacobi, brother Chuck Jacobi, sister Lynn Lasswell, and partner Bill Trenko. Suzanne is survived by her daughters Rene’ Vigil and Carol Ann Snyder; Her son Chris Walshe; Her daughter in-law Jody Walshe; Son in-laws Mathew Snyder and Ruben Vigil; Her grandchildren Samantha Walshe, Wyatt Walshe, Zachary Vigil, Brandon Vigil, Max Snyder, Hudson Snyder, and Emmett Snyder; Former Spouse John Walshe Jr.
Suzanne adored spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed every moment she had to spend time with those she loved at family dinners, birthdays, holidays, church, picking grandchildren up from school, going to their sporting events, and meeting up with her friends every afternoon. She loved painting ceramics,
creating crafts, playing games and always had her nose in a book.
Suzanne was fun loving with a fantastic sense of humor. She was quick to make those around her laugh and feel loved with her contagious uplifting and positive attitude. Over the last few years, she bravely struggled with her health, never giving up despite overwhelming odds. With every challenge she was determined to recover, push through, and she fought to the end. The time has come for her to be free and at peace with our Lord.
Suzanne will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Her family will have a “Celebration of life” to be held at a later date.
