April 9, 1928 - September 23, 2014 Shirley Marie (Warner) Alessi, 86, passed away on September 23, 2014, at Bear Creek Care Center in Morrison, Colorado. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Mile Hi Church of Religious Science, H. Fred Vogt Chapel, Alameda and Garrison, Lakewood, CO, followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Born in Ransomville, NY on April 9, 1928, the second daughter of the late Leland and Iola Warner, Shirley moved to Mesa Arizona with her family, where she lived for 40 years before moving to Colorado in 2011. Shirley is survived by her son, Joseph Alessi, Jr. (Dana Laessle) of Lakewood, CO, daughter, Susan Alessi and son, David Alessi both of Mesa, AZ, four grandchildren: Danielle Tanzella of Camas, WA, Andrea Tanzella, Nicole Alessi and Desirae (Steve) Sylvester all of Arizona and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Anne Campeau of Niagara Falls, NY, brother Robert Smith of Port Huron, Michigan, sister-in-law Pat Solazzo of Buffalo, NY , many nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Alessi, sisters Geanne Lee and Joan Shepherd and brothers Harold and Ray Warner.
