August 3, 1936 - May 12, 2014 Sherry Rae Pratt-Adkins, 77, of Arvada, CO. Born August 03, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed on the Heaven this past Monday, May 12, 2014, in Arvada, CO, on her Father's Birthday. She was preceded in death by her Father Milton Triston Pratt, Mother Frankie Zoe Isbell-Pratt, and her Brother Gary Milton Pratt Sr., all of Salt Lake City Utah. She is survived by her Husband of 54 years, Bruce C. Adkins of Arvada, CO, her son Gary Allen Adkins 53, of SLC, UT, her son Michael Lee Adkins, 50, of Arvada, CO and her daughter Marianne Elizabeth Adkins-Tiedeman 48 of Palmer, AK, her 5 grandchildren, Kristin Michelle Adkins 33, Kylee Rae Luettjohann 24, Jake Tiedeman 21, Nichole Adkins-Haupt 21, Jaeger Tiedeman 19. As well as her 3 great grandchildren, Harper Mackenzie Crawford 5, Sophia Rain Adkins 4 and Candace Skye Haupt 10 months. And her sweet pup that's missing her greatly Wuppus. Sherry was blessed with a long life as The Word promises to those who love God. She was the valedictorian of her high school class. She graduated with a Certified Counselors Certificate from the University of Utah. Sherry spent 37 years working for Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah. Her first years with him were in his law office and she stayed in service to him when he was elected Senator, until her retirement in 2001. Sherry gave significant volunteer help to at risk youth and those needing freedom from addiction, in Salt Lake City during her working years. Service to those in need were her heart and her true life's work. A beloved, hard working Mother always. A Grandma/Mom to many others. Sherry enjoyed reading, piano, playing the organ at her church, singing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Oddysey House choir directing, spending time, always laughing with her family and friends. Visitiation/Viewing will be at Spirit of Christ Chapel 7400 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO, 80003, at 11-12pm on Monday, May 19th, 2014. Followed by services there from 12pm - 1 pm. Her burial will be at Ft. Logan Cemetery in Denver, CO at 2:15 pm.
