August 15, 1947 - August 3, 2012 Jo was born an Appalachian girl in Wheeling, West Virginia. Her family moved to Phoenix, AZ where she met her husband when they were both 9 years old. They were both part of the neighborhood kids and grew up together. They married in 1967 and spent the most wonderful 45 and a half years as a devoted married couple. She was the mother of 5 wonderful children and grandmother to oh so many many more and even became a great grandmother. Jo had a sister, Bev Bland, who was very close to her heart. Jo's delight in life, besides her children and her husband who adored her, were her friends, especially at her work at an elementary school and her dear friends in her FCRV chapter and organization. Only god knows why He took His most precious gift away from her beloved husband and family. She is, however, waiting in heaven for her husband as she is now in the arms of God and our Blessed Mother, Mary. A Vigil/Rosary service will be held on Wednesday,August 8, 7 P.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3900 Pierce St. Wheat Ridge, CO. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at 10 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Catholoic Church, followed by burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
