December 4, 1984 - March 20, 2014 Age 29, was born December 4, 1984. He was born in San Diego, CA. He was the youngest of three children born to Nickey and Gloria McMurtry. Jeff suddenly passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014. He is survived by his mother, Gloria; step father G. L. Tolley his brother, Gregg, and his sister Aimee (Leo) as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and a nephew, Leo Jr. Jeff went to Wheat Ridge High School. Jeff was a Sergeant in the U. S. Army National Guard. He was a soldier deployed overseas in Iraq/Kuwait in September 2007. He has many medals for his service in Iraqi Freedom. His latest duties were assisting in the floods in Colorado. He could not believe the devastation. He opened his own company for Appliance, Heating and Air Conditioning and was planning on attending school this fall to receive his HVAC licensing. As you know, Jeff was very gregarious and he made many friends everywhere he went. He could make you smile and loved to tease to show affection. His smile was enough to make you smile. He was a good friend to many. Jeff was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Jeff was very kind and had a sweet spirit. We were blessed to have him in our life. Jeff loved sports, camping, hunting, fishing, dirt biking and motorcycle riding. He liked making videos and liked computers. Everyone that met Jeff liked him. Jeff will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Please come and celebrate all of your memories of Jeff with us. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Crossroads Church of Denver (Located at 9901 West 50th Ave., Wheat Ridge) at 10:30 am, followed by interment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 12:30 pm with full military honors.
