Sarah Leigh Heywood

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah Leigh Heywood, age 42. She touched the lives of many with her compassionate care for others and her deep connection to the natural world.

In her free time, Sarah could often be found exploring the great outdoors, taking in the beauty of the world around her. She had a special love for cats and enjoyed spending time with her furry companions.

She is preceded in death by brother Matt Heywood and is survived by mother Carole (Jim) Martin of Arvada, father Mike (Pat) Heywood of Spokane, WA, sister Liz (Dave & Jordan) Kistler of Arvada, Uncle Chris (Linda & Lillien) Heywood of Rocky River, OH, stepbrother Kevin (Cara) Blodgett of Spokane, WA and many extended relatives and friends.

Sarah Leigh Heywood will be deeply missed by all who knew her and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her warmth and kindness. May she rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life service will be at the Arvada Elk's Lodge beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a luncheon and reception. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Angels with Paws (angelswithpaws.net) in Sarah’s name to honor her lifelong love of cats.
