October 21, 1923 ~ March 8, 2015 Sara "Betsy" Noll passed away from heart failure peacefully at her home with her daughters at her side. Sara, known all her life as Betsy, was born in Topeka, KS to Edwin Arthur Gertrude Van Camp. She attended CSU, Ft. Collins where she met her husband of forty years, Robert Noll. Coming from a family of red heads, she was known as “Pinkie” to her schoolmates in Skinner Jr. High North Denver High School. Betsy was always a loving sister to her older brothers, Channing, Ralph, Lincoln, Eugene, and to her sister-in-law Muriel. She was a devoted daughter, loving wife, proud mother and a delighted Grandma. Cherished by her family, Betsy was a trusted confidant to beloved family and friends near and far. In addition to her family, her lifelong passion was sewing, but her favorite pastime was conversation-what she called "visiting". Although Betsy had not a gray hair on her head at age 91, and rarely had a haircut she was pleased with, she had a ready smile for everyone she met. With her sparkly blue eyes and genuine interest in others, she was a delight to all who knew her. She loved books, laughter and the vivid colors, textures and sounds of nature. Betsy's keen observation and quick wit amazed many. Her strong Christian faith steadied her through rough times. Service to others was her way of life. Betsy is survived by her three daughters Natalie Noll, Maureen Maker (Kelly Cole), Nancy Fredrick Conrad (Bob); four grandsons David Conrad (Kerri Kokias), Benj (Marci) Fredrick, Brian Fredrick (Hope Siefert), Kyle Fredrick (Liz Sneath); and her great-grandchildren; Chloe Ollie Conrad; Silas Preston Fredrick, and one on the way (Brian Hope). Several nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren also survive Betsy. A memorial service will be held at the Molly Brown Summer House, 7595 West Yale, April 11 at 11 a.m., lunch following. Her family would love to hear stories about Betsy, and hope you will share memories at the service. If you are unable to attend or not comfortable speaking at the service, the family would appreciate you e-mailing your stories and memories to nancyfconrad@gmail.com for someone to read at the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Project Angel Heart, Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
