Russell Liane, 75, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on October 25th. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Russell and Betty Liane. He was raised in Wheatridge, CO; attended Fruitdale Elementary, graduated from Arvada High School in 1960 and attended Colorado School of Mines. Russ is survived by his wife, Carroll, children, Robin, Doug, Diane Chapp (Bill), Sven (Stephanie) San Antonio and brother Glenn (Sue). Russ was so proud of his six grandchildren Brittany, Arik, Jakob, Amanda, Ann-Marie, Michael and great granddaughter Tiger Lily. Russ spent his over 50-year professional career as an electrician in Local #68 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He worked for many contractors, and several years at Rocky Flats. Russ received the prestigious IBEW 50-Year Service Award in 2017. His dream was to help wire Mars. Russ was an avid aero modeler and member of Arvada Associated Modelers. He helped many new modelers learn to fly and complete their first solo flights. He loved to build and fly airplanes. Russ was always watching the sky, the clouds, moon, stars, jet trails. Russ was a Master Mason. He was member of Arvada Community Gardens. Russ was a cyclist proudly completed MS 150 three years. He loved to read and collected books. Russ will be remembered for his strong example of integrity, humility, teaching, service, and faith. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
