June 16, 1946 — August 24, 2018

Celebration of Life for Ron Heinlein Leyden Rock Clubhouse 17685 West 83rd Drive Arvada, Colorado Thursday, August 30, 2018 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Ronald Lloyd Heinlein was born June 16, 1946 in Logan, Ohio to parents Lloyd (1918-2012) and Betty Heinlein (1923-2002), joining his older sister Carol who now lives in Columbus, Ohio. As a kid, “Ronny”, spent many summer vacations traveling to the west to visit his mother’s family in Colorado and Wyoming. His childhood vacation memories include trips to Estes Park with his family. In 1968 Ron enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for three years in Army Intelligence, including a tour of duty to Can Tho, Vietnam. Following his service, he moved to Denver, Colorado, and soon joined Eastman Kodak at their offices in Windsor in the early 1970s. It was there that he met his wife, Glenda and they married September 1977 in Las Vegas. Ron and Glenda had two children, Heather and Matt, while living in Greeley. Ron’s work in Sales and Marketing for Eastman Kodak transferred him and his family to Mesa, Arizona, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brea, California and eventually back to Centennial, Colorado. Ron retired from Eastman Kodak in 2005. Ron loved the game of golf, so following his retirement he and Glenda moved to a golf course community in Thornton and stayed and played until 2017. They continued their drives through the mountains and visits to Estes Park that he had loved so much as a child. After their many years in Thornton, they moved to Arvada to be closer to their two grandsons, Dylan and Marshall. Ron was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2007. Sadly, the disease took his life on August 24. His wife and children were by his side during his last few days. Ron will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery the morning of August 30, 2018. In lieu of flowers, please join his family for a celebration of his life at the Leyden Rock Clubhouse on Thursday, August 30.
