July 20, 1940 - May 29, 2012 71, Ron passed away at the Collier Hospice Care Center after battling cancer. He was born in Odessa, Nebraska to Bert and Irene Henderson. They moved to Kearney, Nebraska when he was young and he attended school there. On January 8, 1961, he married Barbara Cline of Gibbon, Nebraska. The following day they moved to Denver, Colorado. To this union two children were born, Stacy Miller (Greg) and Jeff Henderson (Shanon). Four grandchildren: Mandie, Trisha, Taylor and Hunter. Two great-grandchildren Elijah and Asher. Ron has a sister Carolyn Smith from York, Nebraska and a brother, Larry Henderson from Springfield, Nebraska. Ron was baptized February 24, 1952 at First Baptist of Kearney. They joined First Baptist of Lakewood in 1963 and they still go there. He had lots of interest but his main ones were his family, fishing at Lake McConaughey and his garden. Ron was a master angler and spent lots of time at the lake with his buddy Keith. Ron had a great garden and supplied his family, neighbors and friends with tomatoes and cucumbers. Ron had lots of nieces and nephews who were dearly loved - he always enjoyed laughing and joking with them. He had many good friends and loved them all. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, sister-in-law and an infant son. Services will be held at New Life in Christ Church/First Baptist of Lakewood, 1380 Ammons Street, Lakewood, Colorado, Saturday, June 2, 2012, 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow at the church. Dream as if you will live forever and live as if you will die tomorrow.
