Roger "Dave" Davidson

April 13, 1936 - December 7, 2011 75, born April 13th, 1936 in Seymour, Indiana to Ocie (Acton) and Chester Davidson. Dave was brother to Dola, Janet, Chester (Junior,Chet) and Bobby, husband of 47 years to Tina (Alberdina Nieuwenhuis), father of Catherine and son-in-law Randy Wilson of Pikeville, Tennessee, as well as Ronald and daughter-in-law Jenny Davidson of Arvada, Colorado, grandfather of Michael, Hannah, Rachel, Rebekah, Talyah and Hadassah Wilson: Samantha (Wilson) and Vince Miller: Toriana and Reece Davidson. He will be missed and loved always. Dave served his country for 20 years in the military. First Dave enlisted in the Navy at a young age and served in the Pacific and was based in post WWII Japan. Then he opted for a career in the United States Air Force where he was stationed and served in England, Germany, and France before being stationed at Norad in Colorado Springs, and Offit AFB in Omaha, Nebraska. Dave retired as a Master Sergeant in 1974. Upon retirement he moved to North Carolina, and then returned to Colorado in 1976 where he resided in Wheat Ridge. Dave continued to serve his country working at Lowery AFB and later at the Denver Federal Center in Lakewood. Dave and Tina enjoyed spending their time entertaining at home with friends and family. Dave was a horsemen as well, managing and raising both Arabians and American Quarter Horses. Dave also supported Cathy and Ron in all of their "horsey" endeavors. In retirement Dave enjoyed traveling in his RV. Many friends were made through these activities and was a great joy to both Dave and Tina. Dave attended Arvada Covenant Church and was welcomed as a believer in our Savior Jesus Christ. After a courageous battle with cancer, Dave passed away and was welcomed by his Heavenly Father on December 7th, 2011. A full Military Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetary at 1:15 pm on December 13th, 2011, please plan to arrive at 12:45 pm at staging area C. A reception will follow around 2:30 pm at the home of Ron and Jenny Davidson 13874 West 58th Place, Arvada Colorado. We will celebrate the life of Roger Davidson.
