Rockie Lee Stone

September 11, 1945 — July 20, 2017

Rockie Stone passed unexpectedly at his home on July 20, 2017. Rockie was born in Stratton Colorado on September 11, 1945 to Vivian Clark and Charles Stone. He is survived by his Mother Vivian Clark, Daughter Theresa Lindsey, Sisters Elizabeth Selph and Barbara Kushel, two Granddaughters, and 5 Great Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many friends that he cherished and loved. Rockie had an associate’s degree in Art and was a certified Chef, he passed his time by painting and cooking for his friends and family. Rockie was a friend to many and loved by all that met him, he cherished his time with his friends and family. In talking with his friends, I would hear words like Selfless, Caring, Loving, Supportive, Funny, and that he would have a conversation with anyone, if he had a cup of coffee in his hand. Rockie was his daughter’s biggest cheerleader with anything she did and told her every conversation how proud he was of her and what she had accomplished in life, he supported his many friends through some very difficult times, and he loved to celebrate his accomplishments as well. So, to honor Rockie and all his accomplishments we are having a Celebration of His Life picnic, where there will be everything Rockie loved, family friends, food, and conversation. Come with stories and bring a dish if you would like. So please join us to celebrate Rockie on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 1:00pm at Sloan’s Lake 17 th and Utica for a celebration of life. Rockie will be laid to rest at Ft Logan National Cemetery on Thursday August 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Please arrive at 12:45 and go to staging area A.
