Robert Andrew Seitz

June 24, 1938 — September 17, 2024

He was born on June 24, 1938, in Big Timber, Evergreen Township, Cheyenne County, Kansas, to Robert George and Dorothy Main Seitz. He met the love of his life, Celestina “Sally” Horinek, during an event at Atwood High School. The two were married on September 19, 1959, in San Diego, California. After many years together, they eventually retired in Colorado, where they spent their golden years.

He proudly served his country by joining the United States Navy in May of 1956. Over the course of a distinguished 20-year career, he rose to the rank of Chief Petty Officer, retiring in August 1976. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Bob received 18 service medals, including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, a testament to his bravery and dedication.

After retiring from the Navy, he found joy in the outdoors and working with his hands. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and carpentry, but above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Sally, and his sister Mary.

He is survived by his sons, Donald (Kathy) and Robert Charles, as well as his grandchildren: Adam (Nicole) and their four children—Travis, Mary Jane, Chandler, and Celestina; Katherine (Doug); Wesley (Miranda) and their three sons—Declan, Remington, and Greyson; Christa (Matt) and their two daughters—Madyson and Alyssa; and great grandsons ~~ Bobby and Christopher. He is also survived by his sister Ella Kogl and her family, along with the daughters of his late sister Mary.
