March 24, 1935 - July 4, 2014 79, of Centennial, Colorado, died July 4th, 2014, at the Cherrelyn Healthcare Center in Littleton, Colorado, where he resided since November 2013. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra (Bonicamp) Duncan; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Teresa Duncan of Littleton, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Melissa Duncan of Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Ashley and Katelyn Duncan of Littleton, CO, and Lauren and Ryan Duncan of Pearland, TX. Born and raised in Eureka, Kansas, he was the son of Robert (Bob) and Lela (Stuber) Duncan. He was a longtime Eureka resident until moving to Colorado in 1972. Bob was the oldest of 3 siblings; Ann (Duncan) Lester of Joplin, Missouri, and Jerry Duncan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After graduating from Eureka High School in 1953, he attended the University of Kansas for two years where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Bob later graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He met his wife, Sandra, through mutual friends and was married in 1967 in Wichita, Kansas. After starting his career with Aetna Life and Casualty in Cleveland, Ohio, he returned to Eureka, Kansas, to work for Eureka Realty Insurance Co. In 1972, the family moved to Littleton, Colorado, where he continued his career in the Insurance industry eventually retiring in 2005. He not only took pride in his work but also cherished the friends he made throughout the industry. Bob had a passion for hunting and fishing and spent most of his free time enjoying these activities in Redstone, Colorado and the Crystal River which had a special place in his heart. Bob and his wife Sandra were active in several Bridge clubs for many years. In addition, Bob was very involved in the Optimist International Organization as well as the Shriners International Organization. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held July 11, 2014, at his favorite restaurant “The Shack” in Littleton, Colorado.
