Robert M. Briscoe, age 84, died peacefully in his home on Friday, May 4, 2018. He was born June 16, 1933 in Denver Colorado, the son of Maurice and Nina Mae (Young) Briscoe. Robert grew up with his sisters in the Colorado Christian Home and graduated from North High School in 1952. After high school he proudly served 4 years in the United States Army stationed in Washington. Robert attended Adams State College, received his teaching degree and worked as an Industrial Arts Teacher for 25 years with the Denver Public School system. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and El Jebel Shrine. He was active in many groups within the Shrine including RV Roamers, Englewood and Daraja. He was also an active member of Westminster Elks Lodge where he enjoyed square dancing and camping. His interests were wood working, bowling, dancing, camping and spending time with family. On July 7, 1957, he married Beverly “Judy” Noe-Tuttle in Denver, CO at Highlands Christian Church and she survives. Other survivors include three children, Rob (Natalie) Briscoe of Colorado; Alan (Bernadette) Briscoe of Michigan; Gayla (Ryan) Pohlenz of Arvada, 2 sisters, Barbara Flechsig; Patricia Zarlengo; 6 grandchildren, Chandra Jordan; Frank “Jacob” (Brittany) and Jeffrey Patton; Kevin and Ashley Briscoe; Shawn Prather; 1 great grandchild, Rowan Frank Patton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brother-in laws, Carl Flechsig and Robert Zarlengo; nephew Johnny Zarlengo. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 14, 11:00 a.m., staging area "A," Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80235. The family will hold a Celebration of Life reception after the services Monday, May 14, 2018 at El Jebel Shrine, 3443 S. Galena Street, Denver, Colorado 80231 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
