Robert Lee Rivas of Aurora, Colorado passed away suddenly after a short illness at the age of 69 on August 31st, 2019. Robert was born July 27th 1950 in Durango, Colorado to Eddie and Dolores (Sandoval) Rivas. Bob was raised in Denver, Colorado and spent summers with his beloved grandparents in Ignacio, Colorado. Bob attended Sacred Heart Catholic school and graduated from Cathedral High School. Bob made his career working in management for King Soopers for 35 years. Bob will be missed for his love for his children and family, his unexpected sense of humor and his great green chili. Robert is survived by his wife of 28 years Nannette and his children Louise, Castro, Robyn Milan, (Angel), Holly, Megan Sax, (Shawn), Jordan, Donovan, Cameron, and Roman. His beloved grandchildren, Bryan, Aron, Lauren, Vincenzo, Gigi, Sofia, Sky, Braylen and his Great grandchildren Jada, Bryan Jr, Mia, Aron Jr, Layla, and Andre . He was preceded by his loving father Eddie Rivas and survived by his cherished mother Dolores, sister Janet Rivas (Cordova)/Ray and his baby brother Ed Jr Rivas/Denise. He was an uncle and great uncle who loved his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Elevations christian church at 15600 E Alameda Pkwy, Aurora, Colorado 80017 Monday September 9th 2019 at 11 am.
