Robert Lee "Bob" Gieck

March 15, 1953 — July 13, 2016

Robert Lee "Bob" Gieck was born to Kay Marie and Theodore Allen Gieck Jr. on March 15th, 1953.  Bob is survived by his Mother and Father, his wife of 43 years, Donna, his older Brother Theodore Allen Gieck III (Audrey), His children, Robert "Bobby" (Heidi), Kristine (Mark) and Brian (Kristin).  Bob is also survived by Donna's sisters, brothers, 11 Grand Children and 1 Great Grand Child, numerous nieces and nephews and tons of friends and family.  Bob was born in Denver and raised in Wheat Ridge Colorado.  Bob aspired to be a school teacher and coach, but fate had something different in the cards for him.  As it turns out, he was a great mechanic and followed in his Grandfather and Father's footsteps and took over the family business. (Gieck Brothers)  Bob filled gas, washed windshields and helped out his Dad from the time he was old enough to hold a wrench.  Bob learned all aspects of the business and became a master mechanic. He worked with this Grandfather, Father and Brother for most of the years of his life.   Bob and Teddy were the best of buddies and the closest that any two brothers could be.  To be able to work with each-other and be best friends with your brother is something that is not common these days.  This friendship and family bond molded the foundation for Bob's children.  It was the perfect example of how to love your siblings, and they followed form. Bob was also a Momma's boy.  He loved his mother so very much.  Bob's afternoons and weekend days were spent out on her back patio, talking and laughing and loving each other. Not many a day went by that they didn't see each-other. His chair will be forever empty, but the memories that were made will last a lifetime.  Bob loved his wife and kids.  He absolutely adored them.  He worked all of his life to make sure that his wife and his family had the best that life had to offer.  He wasn't a monetarily rich man, but he did what he had to do to make sure that his family didn't want for anything. Most would say that Bob was rich in Love, and that was worth more than money could buy.   Bob loved to coach.  With his Brother-in- Law Gary, they coached many football teams for the boys when they were younger.  He loved every single second of teaching the boys how to run the ball, tackle and drive.  He was dedicated and never missed a practice, even showing up in his dirty old work clothes.  Bob was a Mason.  He joined the masonic lodge and was a man of faith.  He believed in Jesus and God, but he also believed in human nature.  He never judged.   Bob loved Camping, Fishing, Hunting and traveling to Mexico and the Caribbean.  He loved playing Corn Hole with his boys and he loved dancing with his Daughter.  Bob's celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 24th, 2016 starting at 10 am.  This will last all day long so please come when you are able. It will be held at Bob's home at 3900 Newman Street, Wheat Ridge CO 80033. It has been requested that ball caps and jeans be the recommended attire.  Bob will be missed by his family and friends, but the legacy he leaves behind will hold his love and his memory in the light for the remainder of eternity.  His presence was profound and his love was true and everlasting.  He left his mark upon this world and on our hearts, and we will always remember that no matter what, it all comes out in the wash.
