Robert E. Shirey

July 16, 1962 ~ January 9, 2016 On Saturday, January 9, 2016, Robert E Shirey, 53, passed away at home after a recent injury. He was born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania on July 16, 1962, the son of Thelma and Henry Clapper. Rob was a Veteran serving in the United States Air Force as a Military Policemen. After the military Rob relocated to Colorado where he met the love of his life; Diane and settled down. Rob worked in the printing business and retired from the printing business on disability. Rob is survived by his wife; Diane Shirey of 21 years whom he married on September 10, 1994, who was his best friend; and his 2 dogs Rocco and Patsee Marie. He is also survived by 4 sisters; Billie Jo Richards of State College, PA; Georgia Monsam (Peter) of Virginia Beach, VA; Rita DeCarlo (John) and Cindy Woodring (Chuck) of Tyrone, PA, his Mother and Father-in-law; Judy and Joe Martinez; Brother-in-law Ronnie Martinez (Carla); Sister-in-law Nancy Martinez (Mike) of Denver, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew and a niece. Rob enjoyed spending time with his wife Diane; his dogs and his family. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16th at Westminster United Methodist Church, 3585 West 76th Avenue, Westminster, CO 80030 at 11:00 A.M.
