Robert "Bob" William Emch

April 5, 1933 ~ September 12, 2015  83, of Lakewood CO passed away on September 12, 2015, at Ashley Manor, where he had resided for 11 months. Bob was born on April 5, 1933 in Perrysburg, Ohio, to Jacob and Clara (Brocke) Emch.  He was the third of four children and grew up on the family alfalfa farm. Bob served in the U.S. Army and after leaving the service he worked in the Insurance Industry with Mutual of New York.  Later, he became an entrepreneur who owned several businesses throughout the years, including Star Airways at Stapleton International Airport. Bob raised his family on Green Mountain in Lakewood, and enjoyed all that Colorado had to offer of the outdoors.  Camping, fishing and blazing trails with his two sons and two daughters was his passion.  He also enjoyed his many motorcycles, his workshop and had a great green thumb.  Bob was passionate about Amateur Radio and made several life long friends during that time. Bob is survived by his four Children – Stephen Robert Emch of Lakewood, Brian Allen Emch of Lakewood, Lori Ann Emch of Golden and Heather Leigh Kiser of Thronton, CO. Bob has five Grandchildren and one Great Grand Child, all whom he loved dearly.  JoAnn Emch, former wife of Bob, also survives him living in Wheatridge.  Preceding him in death was his sister Evelyn Mollenkopf of Perrysburg and his brother, Merlin “Bud” John Emch of Denver. Military services will be held Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver on Wednesday September 16, 2015 at 1:30PM meeting at staging AREA B.  (First entrance gate, 2nd Right) Reception following at the home of Brian Emch, 2380 Brentwood Street, Lakewood CO 80214 (720)-583-2777
