Robert "Bob" Hefner

Robert C. “Bob” Hefner of Arvada, CO was born in 1944 to Jane and Clyde Hefner in Denver, CO. He died peacefully at home on April 16, 2022 of AML Leukemia at age 77. In his youth, he was active in Boy Scouts, eventually earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He played Little League and American Legion baseball. He attended Denver Public Schools and graduated from North High school in 1962, then went on to complete his formal education at Colorado State University in 1966. Bob spent his entire career as a manufacturing engineer at a variety of companies in the greater metro Denver area, retiring in 2006. During his adult years, he loved “fishing the Piney”, bike riding, bowling, reading, GOLFING most of all, and was an avid Colorado Rockies fan. Bob married Susan Rowland in 1966 and they have two lovely daughters, Shari Hefner and Deanna (Kurt) Berkley, and treasured grandchildren Breanna and Kyle Barkley. He is predeceased by his parents, his parents-in-law, aunts and uncles, and three cousins. Surviving him are his wife, daughters, grandchildren, sisters Judy (Wayne) Swisher and Kay Hefner, brother-in-law Chris (Kathi) Rowland, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors, and golfing buddies. Bob was a loving and much loved man – respectful, dedicated, honest – we will all miss him dearly. At his request, there will be no services; ashes will be placed at a later date.
