Richard Lee Stevens

Richard Lee Stevens departed this life on February 22, 2020. Born to William Earl Stevens and Margarita De Valle in Denver, Dick graduated from Emanuel High school and became a Captain in the United States Marine Corp where he flew Corsairs and ADs as a fighter pilot in the Korean theater. Dick was later a commercial pilot for United Air Lines. Married to Margaret Lawrence for 53 years, together they brought up three children Lise Stevens (Rick Lontin), Cort Stevens (Karen Colburn Stevens) Breck Stevens (Cynthia Johnson Stevens) who among them had grand children Francis Terc, Megan Stevens, Matt Stevens and 3 great grand children Myah Barrera, Makayla Terc and Marcus Terc. Dick and Maggie were skiing pioneers and Rocky Mountain enthusiasts and dedicated themselves to many Denver civic organizations, they belonged to Pinehurst Country Club. Dick was an avid fly fisherman. Services Pending In lieu of flower, donations may be made to the Colorado Springs Project Healing Waters fly fishing organization in his name.
