Richard Frank Gregg

December 16, 1936 — December 4, 2020

Loving husband and father Richard Gregg was reunited with his family in heaven on December 4, 2020. Born in Beatrice Nebraska on December 16, 1936 to Frank and Gretchen, he went on to meet the love of his life, Margaret Jo, and pursue a career in accounting after graduating with a CPA from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Richard and Margaret Jo were married on July 17, 1960 and moved to Colorado Springs the following day. Shortly after, they moved to Lakewood CO where he found a job with Consolidated Mutual Water. In 1975, Richard and Margaret Jo adopted their first and only son Kent and moved into the Applewood neighborhood. Richard retired from the water company in 1993 after working there for over 35 years. He was an expert collector and dealer of antiques and enjoyed traveling the country with his family in search of new treasures. Richard's collection was spotlighted in several Rocky Mountain News columns, as well as a guest appearance on Denver's TV Chanel 6. When he moved from his Applewood home in 2015, he held an auction that brought antique collectors in from as far away as Texas. Richard is survived by his grateful son Kent, granddaughter Phoenix, and loving daughter-in-law Donna. Richard had a most generous heart and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace Dad......
