He was very proud of his two step daughters that he helped raise from a young age. He was very close to Stacey’s parents and also called her mother, “Mom”. Rick was a very passionate man, full of energy and determination. Before his cancer diagnosis in 2015, he had spent many years working on a business startup that could have revolutionized the water main industry. His efforts drew the attention from all over the nation and outside the United States. Rick and his wife loved living in California and visiting their favorite place, Carmel with its beautiful beach and stunning sunrises. When living in Florida he joined a church and devoted much of his spare time to learning Holy Scriptures and becoming a disciple of God. Prior to Rick moving to Colorado he spent nine years in Florida, working as a carpenter for Sea Ray, helping build the interior of boats and yachts. Before Florida Rick was in the Army and served as a Bridge Specialist.
