June 26, 1952 - October 7, 2013 Randall Evan DeLancey, 61, of Westminster, CO passed away peacefully at Exempla Lutheran/Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, CO on October 7, 2013. Born June 26, 1952 on the wedding anniversary of his parents-to-be, Randy was adopted by H. Robert and Elizabeth DeLancey on November 7, 1952. Randy designed hundreds of projects in numerous Colorado and Nevada communities in a life-long career as a structural/civil engineer. Among his designs are the Concourse A pedestrian bridge, central plant, and the United Airlines Flight Training Center at Denver International Airport. An avid outdoorsman, Randy loved to ride his bike, run marathons, hike, backpack, and camp across the Colorado Rocky Mountains and beyond. Randy is survived by his wife of seven years, Billie Jo “Bj” (Knoelk) DeLancey; his sister Monica “Nicki” (DeLancey) Natzke of Westminster; daughter Heather DeLancey also of Westminster; daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Ron Kuehn of Arvada, CO; son Evan DeLancey of Westminster; step-children Cody and Jim McDonald of Englewood, CO; Crystal and Mat Braunschweig of Cheyenne, WY; and Jeremy Doherty and Brittany Keck also of Cheyenne; grandchildren Ashlyn, Liana, and Lydia Kuehn, and Lily Allen all of Arvada; and step-grandchildren Kobe, Jarin, and Alicen Braunschweig of Cheyenne; and a large extended family of loved ones. Cremation will take place under the direction of Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Cameron United Methodist Church, 1600 South Pearl Street, Denver, CO, Reverend Jessica Rooks, officiating. A reception will follow.
