Randall Benton Smith, of Arvada, CO, died peacefully in hospice on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He was born on May 8, 1954 in Sandusky, OH to parents Elizabeth Benton Smith and Charles George Smith. He spent his first years in New Bedford, MA and England before moving to Albuquerque where he spent his formative years. He attended the Albuquerque Boys Academy and Highland High School (Albuquerque). He graduated University of New Mexico with both a Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Psychology. He then attended Baylor University in Texas and received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Randall’s careers included forest service work, Psychologist, Operations Management, Data Center Manager, and ending his career in Project Management with VISA International. In 1989, he married Kimberly Miller, and together they had son, Kyle. Randall had an incredible sense of humor and a lightning sharp mind. His greatest joy was snow skiing, which was his mother’s passion as well. He was an absolute master of the slopes, no matter how steep or challenging. He will be greatly missed. Randall is survived by his wife Kim, son Kyle, daughter-in-law Kendra, brother and his wife, Chris and Debra Smith, step-mother Marta Smith, step-siblings and spouses Leda and Larry Moreland, Faith and Bruce Amos, and Chris and Sheri Woody, along with many nieces and nephews.
