Ralph C. Brown Jr., also known by many as Jake of Denver, Colorado died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at his residence in Denver, Colorado. He was 77 years old. He was born in Denver, Colorado on April 17, 1939 to Ralph C. and Florence I. Brown and was the brother to Peggy Payne. He graduated from North High School in 1957 and later went into the Coast Guard and was stationed in Banguard, Maine. Jake married Sharon McKellup on August 6, 1962, for nine year, living in Denver and produced four children: Roger (Skip), Debbie, Scott and Tim. Jake later married Beverly Brown in 1977, who had four children of her own: Dennis, Mark, Allen and Leanne. Combined they created their own Brady Bunch. They were married for 39 years and together enjoyed bowling and square dancing; dancing New York New York. Jake enjoyed his time playing golf and cribbage. Jake was an entrepreneur producing his own business in partner with his stepson, Mark Taddicken creating their own wheelchair repair company, which they sustained for nine years. He then went to work for a medical supply company where he retired at age 62. Jake survived by his own four children and four stepchildren; 38 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Discovery Christian Church at 2605 E. 144 th Avenue in Broomfield, Colorado at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, with Jake’s grandson, Pastor Jakob Brown officiating. Refreshment to follow in lower level of the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
