Phyliss Edwina Davies McClain : January 16, 1928 to February 22, 2018 Services will be at St. Andrews Lutheran Church 6774 West 66th Ave. Arvada, CO 80003 March 9th at 2:00 PM. Reception will be at the church with light food and Beverages. If anyone wishes to speak please let me know in advance. Edwina (as she prefers to be called) was born in Mountain Ash, South Wales U.K. Edwina was so proud of her Welch Heritage and was the happiest when traveling with her beloved Husband Jerry. Edwina's school years were at St. Edward's Church of England. U.K. She worked for the British Railways and during World War II she worked in a De Havilland aircraft plant. After coming to America she worked for the Miller & Paine Department store in Lincoln for many years. After moving to Arvada she worked at many different jobs. One she helped in the kitchens for Arvada schools, then at a children's play school. Edwina was active in the Young At Heart Group making calls for the monthly events. Edwina liked to visit with all types of people. Preceded in death: Parents: John Thomas and Elizabeth Mary Vaughan Davies. Sister: Susan Iris Davies Kramer, Modesto, California. Survived by Husband, Jerry E. McClain. Arvada CO. Brother, John (Joan) Davies, Yorkshire U.K. Sister, Mary (Kenneth) Sharpnack, Waverly, NE. Many Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews and a treasured circle of friends.
