Pauline Magdalene Winjum

April 16, 1931 — February 24, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Winjum, who entered eternal rest on February 24, 2024. Born on April 16, 1931, Pauline left behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Pauline was a woman who exuded an atmosphere of cheerfulness and love that resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She absolutely loved to talk and laugh. Though her body was failing, her mind was sharp as a tack to the end. Her wonderful wit kept many conversations light and cheery with both family and friends. If you were lucky enough to know her, you soon knew you were loved, for she would tell you so.

Her greatest accomplishment, and her source of immense pride, was the successful upbringing of her children, each of whom carry forward her nurturing spirit, as well as her beloved grandchildren. She loved reminiscing about them when they were young. These were her favorite memories.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Gerald Winjum, and their beloved children; sons: Nikolas Winjum (Jodie) and Brent Winjum (Anne), and daughters: Dawn Winjum-Thomas and Rene Flori (Gary). Grandchildren: Reece, Vaughn (Tiffany), & Pierce Thomas; John (Lindsey) & Nicole Winjum, Cailin (Mike) Telliard; Lana & Addie Winjum; Antonio & Sierra Flori. Great-grandchildren: Henry Winjum and Rosalie, Diana & Aurelia Thomas. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert, Philip, Thomas (Jane), Tim (Eileen), David (Cindy) Nikolas & brother-in-law Donn Kuhfeld, sister: Maryanne Nikolas and sister-in-law Sharon Nikolas.

Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Cecelia Nikolas; her brothers Edward, Leroy (Joan), William/Beno (Jerri), and Henry Nikolas; and sisters: Sister Mildred (Alice) Nikolas and Madonna Kuhfeld; sisters-in-law: Lila & Evelyn Nikolas. And in-laws: Orean (Tina) Winjum, and Olive Winjum. Their memories continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Pauline's deep-rooted faith was a fundamental aspect of her life as a devoted Catholic. She always attended Sunday Mass and prayed her daily rosary. Outside of her faith and family, some of her favorite moments were spent engaging in the exhilarating spirit of football – she was a fervent Bronco fan, a testament to her vivacious personality. She also enjoyed her "girls" long weekends in the mountains with Rene, Sierra, and Dawn; so much fun and an abundance of laughter.

Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral Mass in honor of Pauline's life on March 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. A Rosary will precede the Mass at 10:30 AM. The internment will be held at 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Please be there at 2:15 (not before).

Pauline's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, boundless love, and unyielding spirit of generosity. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she touched. She will be dearly missed, but her loving nature and cheerful spirit shall continue to flourish in our hearts.
