Paula J. Patton

Paula June Patton, age 61, passed away January 8, 2017. She was born January 16, 1955 in Denver, Colorado at Merci Hospital to the proud parents, Jim and Rita Patton. She is survived by mother Rita Patton, sister Glenda Bredeson, brother Steve Patton, daughter Jamie Lick, daughter Lorie Palmer and two beautiful grandchildren, Sophie and Levi Palmer. She is preceded in death by her father Jim Patton and sister Shirley Hanson. Paula was a grandmother, mother, daughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She loved to sew, crochet and needle point. She loved to find the crafty side of almost anything. Paula was a softball coach for many years. The girls referred to her as strict, stern, but fair. Paula attended Arvada West High School, graduating in 1973. She worked many years for Jeffco Schools, first starting in the library and then ending in Risk Management. She then went on to work for the casinos in Blackhawk and loved it, but hated the drive. Paula then ended her working career when she retired as a Collections Investigator for the State of Colorado at the Jefferson County Court House. The family of Paula Patton wish to thank all who have expressed their condolences and included Paula in their prayers. A memorial service will be held at 10am on January 20, 2017 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 W. 58th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80002. A reception will follow at St. Joan of Arc's Reception Hall.
