Patrick R Sandoval Jr.

Patrick R. Sandoval Jr., 62, of Denver, passed away at home with his loving wife Laurie on January 4, 2022, after a three-year-long struggle with esophageal cancer. He was born January 29, 1959, in Denver, CO, to Sarah L. (Chavez) Sandoval and Patrick R. Sandoval, Sr. (predeceased), formally from Taos, NM. He was lovingly known as Pat, “Super-Tankie,” Dad, and most affectionately Grumpy. Patrick was a well-respected Field Supervisor/Foreman with 29 years of employment at TANCO Engineering, Inc. Loveland. He enjoyed his time gardening, wrenching in his garage, riding his Harley’s, fishing, hunting, and particularly enjoyed his nightly bottle of Fat Tire with a shot of Hornitos Reposado, lime, and hot sauce. Patrick is survived by his wife of 28 years, Laurieanne Shanoski-Sandoval (MA), brother Francisco Sr. (KS), his three children, Emilio, Elijah (Amanda), and Audrey. He is also survived by his grandson, Jackson, and his many grand-puppies. He will be significantly and sorely missed by all that know him. The Funeral Services given by celebrant Rev. Fernando Londoño will begin at 11:00 a.m. January 18, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3801 W. Ohio Ave, Denver, CO 80219. All Friends and Family have been invited to an “Open-House” over 21+ Celebration of Life Reception being held at Riley’s Inn, 1515 Garland St, Lakewood, CO 80215, for the remainder of the day. The Sandoval Family would like to acknowledge and thank all of the various Doctors, Nurses, and Other Health Care workers who diligently helped Patrick navigate his care during these difficult and trying times. Through the assistance of the Denver Hospice, Patrick was also able to fulfill his desire to leave the hospital and pass at his Denver home with his wife and grand-dog Harley Knuckleson by his side.
