He was born in New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Peter Wilbur Dempsey and Mildred (Doucet) Dempsey, in addition to his parents he is preceded by his two brothers, Robert Dempsey, Lawrence Dempsey; and 4 sisters, Marguerite Cormier, Irma Ferlotte, Bea Skidds, Sally Crosby He is survived by, Wife: Jane C (Flynn) Dempsey Children: Lawrence C Dempsey (Alaska), Janet Axelrod (Colorado), Donna Kerrigan (Virginia), Susan Nelson (California), Ronald Dempsey (Arizona), Marie McNeely (New Jersey), Peter Dempsey (Colorado) Brothers: Bernard Dempsey, Wilbur Dempsey Sisters: Roberta Burnett, Lois Rioux, Lourdes Cox, Joan Sanborn Grandchildren: Michael Dempsey, Mary Dempsey, Anne Dempsey, Lauren Axelrod, Kathryn Axelrod, Brigid Kerrigan, Jack Kerrigan, Michael Kerrigan, Clare McNeely, Peter McNeely, Grace McNeely, Erin Dempsey, Kelly Dempsey Plus seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews After cremation, there will be a memorial mass at The Gardens At St Elizabeth in Denver on January 11, 2013. A reception will follow the service. His remains will be buried in Canada.
