May 9, 1935 - June 15, 2011 Patricia Fagan of Lakewood, CO, was born on May 9, 1935 in Lakewood, New York to William and Mildred Fagan, passed away on June 15, 2011, at Collier Hospice Center. She is survived by her children, Karen and Paul Rufien; her grandchildren, Melanie Rufien, Britton Rufien, and Rene Nortman, all of Colorado; her sister, Marilyn Gruel and brother Charles Edward Fagan, both of Chautauqua County, New York; plus many nieces and nephews. Pat grew up in Lakewood, New York. She was graduated from Southwestern High School in 1953. She was graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1957, then moved to Colorado. She received a Master's of Education from Lesley University. She taught elementary grades in Jefferson County schools retiring in 1997. Pat loved teaching, gardening, playing bridge, traveling the world, and most importantly spending time with family, friends and her dogs. Pat will be remembered for her courage, generosity and gracious nature. A celebration of Pat's life will be held at the Red Rocks Country Club, 16235 W.
