Patricia "Ann" Eichorn

July 30, 1939 - September 26, 2014 Ann Eichorn passed away on September 26, 2014 at Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, CO, after suffering from multiple strokes and a brain disease. Ann was born in Denver, CO on July 30, 1939 and her family moved to Gering, Nebraska when she was 10. She graduated from Gering High School in 1957. She married her husband Gene in November of 1957 and they moved to Arizona for two years.. They then moved to Colorado to raise their family and lived there until they retired in 2001. They moved back to Scottsbluff, Nebraska to help take care of Ann's parents and after her parents passed, they came back home to Colorado in 2011. Besides being a full time mother and housewife while her children were growing up, she worked for several real estate companies part time and then went to work for a medical office as an Office Manager where she worked until she retired. Ann's family was her top priority - she was always happy when she was with her family. She also had so many close friends, some of which were friends since she was in grade school. It was very important to keep those close ties even after they all moved away from each other. She was active in various church activities throughout the years, most recently the Stephen Ministries at Heritage Community Church. Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Gene; her daughter Kathi (Brad) Wegscheider; her two special grandchildren, Brandy and Brent Wegscheider, a special niece, Wendy (Kevin) Derhaag, and many other cousins and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by infant son, Michael; daughter, Linda; sister, Sue; and her parents, Tom and Esther Tully. There will be a service and a celebration of Ann's life at Heritage Community Church, 5615 W. 64th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ann's memory to: Collier Hospice Center Lutheran Medical Center Foundation 8300 W. 38th Avenue Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 (checks payable to Exempla Lutheran Hospice) or Heritage Community Church 5615 W. 64th Avenue Arvada, CO 80003
