Norene Valerie Hulsey

Norene Valerie Hulsey went home on Saturday 2-22-20 in her sleep around 8am at the amazing age of 80 years. Grandma was comfortably resting in her recliner at her house in Littleton, Colorado where she had lived for 44 years. She was 1 of 7 children born to Amarante and Adeline Arellano in Pueblo, Colorado. Norene and Barto J. Hulsey were in their 55th year of marriage. She will be greatly missed by her husband Barto, 2 sons Brian, Craig and her favorite granddaughter Halley. In Addition her 4 sisters Jayne Marchant and husband Armand, Nina Marsala and husband Joe, Gerri Monohan, Priscilla Portillos and Husband Ted along with many nieces and nephews will miss their sister and their “Aunt Noni”. She was the best Mom EVER!! She was nominated for Mother of The Year 54 years straight and brought home the coveted title 90 % of the time. Our Mom was the heart and soul of our family! She offered countless tidbits of wisdom and knowledge, amazing advice and constant joy. “Reenee Huerta” could bring tears to your eyes when she played the piano. Christmas time especially as we would sing and laugh around the most spectacular tree she had decorated.. The meals she prepared were filled with love, flavor and always, ALWAYS presented with the warmest and most loving smile. She ran her own paralegal business in addition to being the caregiver to her own Mom for many years. She could knit, sew, crochet, mend clothes, heal a broken heart, wipe away tears and sadness with her hugs & kisses and yes, leap tall buildings in a single bound! Fun fact- she was quite the pole vaulter in her day. (Although still not verified) LOL :) God rest Your soul AMAZING Lady, Wife, Mom, Grandma, Aunt, Role Model, Friend, Servant of God… OUR HERO Services will be at 2pm on Thursday 3-12-20 at West Bowles Church
