June 5, 1929 - December 22, 2011 82, of Denver, passed away on Dec. 22, 2011. He was born in Dawson, New Mexico on June 5, 1929 to Julian and Rosalia Lujan. He graduated as Valedictorian of his high school in FT. Lupton, Colorado and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree at Regis University. He served in the U.S. diplomatic service for the Department of Agriculture in a joint venture with the Mexican government, teaching the Mexican farmers how to care for their livestock and protect them from disease. He was a devout Catholic who served as the Director of Catechism in Northglenn, Colorado; El Paso Texas; and in Puebla, Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Angela, his daughter Patricia (Michael), and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his infant son Anthony Jesus Lujan. There will be a Rosary service on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 7 pm., and a Funeral Mass, Friday Jan. 6 at 10:30 am. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1843 W 52nd Ave. in Denver, with a reception to follow at the Brighton Public Library Community Room, 327 E Bridge St. in Brighton. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
