Mindy Carol Dyer passed away on November 23rd, 2021, at the age of 71. She is survived by her partner, Steve “Smitty” Smith, her brother, Robert Dyer, nephew, Tristan Dyer, and nieces Stephanie Luck and Dacia Dyer. Mindy was born in North Denver on August 23rd, 1950, to Isabelle and Robert Dyer. She grew up in Denver until the age of 8 when her family moved to Arvada, where she lived much of her life. Mindy was a lively free spirit who marched to her own beat. When she was 18, she moved to Los Angeles to get into the music industry and worked at radio stations until eventually moving back to Colorado. A hippie, through and through, she protested everything, supported the marijuana industry (before it was legal and after), and read tarot over the phone. Anyone who knew her, even for a few minutes, undoubtedly had their astrological chart read. She had strong opinions. Not the most tactful person in the world, she said whatever was on her mind unabashedly. She loved her dogs, selling carpet at Carpet Exchange, and had a very memorable laugh. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21st, at 1 pm at the Colorado Taphouse, 14982 W. 69th Avenue, Arvada, CO, 80007.
