December 2, 1965 - November 3, 2014 Michelle, 48, passed away at her home in Wheat Ridge CO on November 3, 2014. She was born in Alamosa CO as the beloved and esteemed daughter to the late Jose Eraldo “Harold” Sanchez and surviving mother Alysha Rael Sanchez. She is survived by 2 brothers Harold K. Sanchez and Rico Tivis along with one sister Judy M. Sanchez. She leaves behind husband Michael Collier of thirteen years along with her four wonderful children Jamie Sanchez, Christian Ball, Rochelle Ball, Nicole Collier and one granddaughter Ava Sanchez. Michelle graduated from Grants High School in New Mexico and also attended the University of New Mexico at Las Cruces along with the Ohio Center for Broadcasting in Lakewood CO. She worked for radio and television in both Albuquerque NM and Denver CO which upon retirement from broadcasting she has for the past 8 years been an active volunteer with Pennington Elementary School in Wheat Ridge CO. She along with dear friend Denise Spencer cofounded the after school STEP UP program and cross walk program. She was also the secretary for the school accountability program and served as secretary/vice president of the school's PTA for those eight years. Michelle's hobbies included music, photography, videography and cooking. We will forever miss Michelle and her famous chicken enchiladas. A memorial service and reception will be held Thursday November 13, 2014 at 11am in the Mother Cabrini Chapel located at 20189 Cabrini Blvd Golden CO 80401. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be sent to Pennington Elementary PTA c/o Pennington Elementary School 4617 Independence St Wheat Ridge CO 80033 where both Michelle's daughter Nicole attended and her granddaughter Ava currently attends.
