Michael W. Rogge

July 1, 1973 — October 12, 2016

Michael Wallis Rogge of Superior, CO was called home on October 12, 2016. He was in his home surrounded by his family and friends. Michael kept his strength and faith with him from the beginning while courageously fighting and living with cancer. Michael was born on July 1, 1973 in Elkhorn, WI to Glenda Cornella and Michael Rogge. He moved to Belle Fourche, SD in 1983 and is a 1991 graduate of Belle Fourche High School. In 1999, he met the love of his life, Christine Walsh. They married in Spearfish, SD on August 18, 2000 and moved to Colorado to begin their happily ever after. Along with Michael’s daughter Megan, they had two sons, Maichael and Gabriel. Mikey, as he was known to his many brothers, sisters and friends, was a dedicated husband and father. He always felt his greatest achievement was being a father. The only thing comparable to his love of coaching all his boys was being another dad watching on the sidelines. Even on his worst days, he was still there cheering for them. Nothing brought him more joy than to spend time with his family. Mike was a businessman, loyal to Kimball Midwest for over 14 years. Through his hard work and strong family commitment, he set an example for generations to come. Mikey had an uncanny ability to light up a room with laughter and brought joy to everyone he knew. He loved the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers and spending time on the golf course. Mikey is survived by his wife Chris and children, Megan, Maichael and Gabriel; mother Glenda Cornella of Rapid City, SD, father Michael Rogge of Albany, WI; grandparents Joseph and Lillian Rogge of Lyndon Station, WI; sister Tracy Kostenbauer (Ben) of Rapid City, SD, brother Robert Rogge (Lauren) of Portage, WI, sister Melissa Rogge (Alan) of New Glarus, WI, sister Sarah Myhand (Derek) of New Glarus, WI, brother Greg Walsh (Julia) of Los Angeles, CA, sister Heather Etzel (Mike) of Cheyenne, WY, brother Tommy Hanrahan of Seattle, WA, and sister Katelyn Hurd of Denver, CO; nieces and nephews: Shelbee, Audrey, Jake, Hannah, Blake, Tyrek, Kendal, Christian, Bradyn, Kail, Joseph, Kason, Arienne, Shawn, Danika, Zander, Kristian, Madelynn, Ruari, and August; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
