Thornton- Michael Louis Bruso Sr., died at the age of 86 on April 7th, 2015 in his eldest sons home from natural causes. He leaves his sons Michael Jr, Mitchell, Matthew, Miles, his two daughters Michele, and Marcie, his late son Mark, and six grandchildren. Mr. Bruso was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he found his love for baseball and music. As a teenager, Mr. Bruso enlisted in the navy where he traveled the world, and went on to become a WWII vet. After the war, he played the drums for the group he founded known as the Mickey Bruso Trio. It was playing in the band that let him travel to Miami, FL where he met his wife Delores Johnson, and went on to have seven children. Wanting a new home and some adventure in their life, Mr. Bruso and his wife took the kids to Colorado. They built a life in the Westminster/Arvada area where all but 1 of his children still resides today. Mickey Bruso loved when family got together, especially on his birthday, Halloween. He loved life, laughter, and dancing. He will continue to be remembered as a young, happy man that loved his family very much. A funeral service is being held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Holy Cross in Denver at 10:30 am.
