In the early morning hours of December 7, 2021 Merle "Bud" Wayne Friskney passed from life on earth into eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born to Archie and Clara Friskney in Albion, Indiana on January 16, 1930, the youngest of six. Bud married Iva Mae Chidister on May 28, 1950. In this marriage they had three children: Nancy, Janet and Stan. Bud was an artist, scholar of the bible, pastor, handyman, hunter, fisherman and he would occasionally admit to trying to be a golfer.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers John, Boyd, James, Willis and sister Martha Jane Johnson, his wife Iva Mae, daughter Nancy Zanetell and grandson Jeffrey Zanetell. He is survived by his daughter Janet Bartel, son and daughter-in-law Stan and Linda Friskney and grandchildren Alexis Zanetell, Erin Bartel, Jessica Bartel, Megan Friskney, John Friskney and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life and homegoing will be on January 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 4490 Newland Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
